Frequently Asked Questions
- Where should I drop off food donations?
- Food donations can be dropped off at the North Campus Guidance offices.
- What food items can I drop off for hours?
- You can drop of 8 items for one hour! The following food items count for hours: peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti sauce, cereal, granola bars, canned/packaged fruit, and canned soups.
- What is the policy for expired foods?
- Every expired item knocks off one hour. For example, if you donate 8 foods, but one is expired, you get zero hours. If you donate 32 foods and 4 are expired, you get zero hours.
- What do I do with the outside volunteering form?
- An outside volunteering form is used to log hours that you do outside of Warhawk Interact, independently of another organization. The form needs a supervisor signature from the event, and then should be turned in to North or South Campus Guidance.
- Where can I find the outside volunteering form?
- Check out the page labeled "FORMS AND DOCUMENTS."
- Where is my event meeting?
- Check the sign up sheet that you originally signed up on. It's going to be on there, at the top of the page. The Executive Board probably does have any more information than what’s on the sign up sheet.
- How do I get to the event?
- Unless it says otherwise on the sign up sheet, you are in charge of transporting yourself to the event. Get there however you please (safely)!
- When are full group meetings?
- Full group meetings are usually the first Tuesday of the month, at 6:50 am or 2:45 pm. You can come to either meeting (or both, if you just love the meetings).
- What do I do if there's not a sign-in sheet at this event?
- Take charge! Ask other club members if they have seen a sign up sheet, and if there isn't one, make one yourself. You can take attendance on loose leaf, on your phone, in stone tablet, or any other conceivable way (in English). If the recording secretary doesn't have a sign-in sheet, how will they know you were there?
- Why am I getting a yellow or red mark?
- You didn't come to an event you signed up for! A yellow mark is awarded for not showing up to an event, but letting our attendance secretary know you couldn't come. A red mark is awarded for showing up without telling the attendance secretary you weren't coming. Note that if you use the wait list to find someone to go in your place, you won't be penalized.
- How do I contact the attendance secretary?
- Check out this page!
- Why do I not have hours on the activity log?
- The activity log takes a long time and a lot of effort to maintain. It can take weeks for hours to be added. Alternatively, if there wasn't a sign-in sheet, or you didn't sign in at the event, then you probably didn't get hours because no one knew you were there! (We're not psychics!)
- How many hours do I need per semester?
- You need to get a minimum of 4 hours per semester. Additionally, you must have eight hours by the end of the year.
- What do I do if I can't make it to an event?
- Contact the next person on the waitlist, at the end of the sign-up document. Additionally, if it's last minute, contact the attendance secretary and let her know you can't come. You don't get penalized if you find a replacement.
- How will you (the board) know I attended an event?
- You have to sign-in! Look for the sign-in sheet at the event, and if there isn't one, make one and take attendance, and get it to Mr. Lewandowski.
- Am I detecting a theme here?
- Reading and communication is key :).
